President Nicolae Timofti has signed a decree on dismissal of a judge of the Orhei Court, Vasile Selevestru, as he committed disciplinary offences.
Violeta Motulaite congratulated Timofti on the signing of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement in Brussels. Motulaite told the president that the Lithuanian parliament was to ratify this treaty as soon as possible. The Lithuanian parliament ratified the above-mentioned agreement today.
President Nicolae Timofti today signed a decree on the promulgation of the Law number 112 from 2 July 2014 for the ratification of the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, on the one hand, the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, on the other hand.
Timofti also signed a decree reconfirming Elena Carpenco to the position of judge at the Ceadir-Lunga Court, until the mandate’s expiration.
The distinction was awarded to the diplomat "as a token of deep gratitude for his special contribution to the development and deepening of the Moldovan-American friendship and cooperation relations."
Earlier this morning, President Nicolae Timofti signed the decrees on revoking Valeriu Lazar from the position of deputy prime minister, Economics Minister, and appointing Andrian Candu to this position, at a proposal by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.
