The distinction was given under presidential decree „as a token of deep gratitude for significant contribution to developing and strengthening the Moldovan-Japanese friendship and cooperation relations.”
Nicolae Timofti spoke out for boosting the bilateral economic ties and underlined the willingness of the Moldovan producers to supply Moldovan quality products to the Belarusian market.
A string of bilateral cooperation agreements were signed today, within the official visit of Belarusian President Alexandr Lukashenko to Moldova.
The World Bank representative said special attention will be paid to the financial sector stability, management of public investments and increasing the efficiency of agricultural subsidies within the development policies.
ECHR Vice-President Josep Casadevall said Moldova had made progress in respecting fundamental human rights and freedoms.
Timofti described as useful the public debates on issues of the evolution of policies in the area of interethnic relations; encouraging the learning of the official language as key factor of the social integration; civic participation; dialogue and intercultural education.
