President Nicolae Timofti today signed a decree on appointing Tudor Ulianovschi as Geneva- based Moldovan ambassador to Switzerland and also as Moldova’s Permanent Representative to the UN office in Geneva.
Before signing the decrees, the head of state had a meeting with the nominated ambassadors, during which the officials tackled aspects of Moldova’s foreign policy and the situation in the enlarged region of the Black Sea.
The participants in the meeting tackled the parliament's agenda in the spring and summer session and reviewed the tasks due to be fulfilled by the MPs on this period. The officials emphasised the importance that the parliament adopts the draft laws needed for giving an impetus to the reform processes and enforcing the Association Agreement with the European Union.
The title was awarded to Piersic “in sign of high appreciation of his special merits in the development of performing arts, remarkable successes in his creation activity, as well as his substantial contribution to deepening Moldovan-Romanian cultural ties”.
