Igor Dodon visited Institute of Mother and Child in Chisinau

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, has visited the Institute of Mother and Child in Chisinau, which soon will celebrate its 36th anniversary.

The Institute of Mother and Child was founded in 1982. Currently it has more than 2,000 medical workers, including 52 scientific employees, work here. More than 10 thousand surgical operations are conducted annually in this institution, more than 40 thousand patients undergo treatment, more than 6 thousand pregnant women receive medical care for obstetrics, and 150 thousand patients receive the necessary consultations every year in the Specialized Integrated Consultation Department.

The Head of State signed a decree on awarding the Institute of Mother and Child with the Order of the Republic as a sign of appreciation of special achievements in the field of health care and for significant contribution to the introduction of innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment and training of highly qualified specialists.

Also, for outstanding merit in the field of children's health care, contribution to the improvement of the cure-diagnosis process and high professionalism, the head of state awarded high state distinctions, a group of medical workers working within this institution.

During the event, the President of the country thanked the hospital staff for their dedication and professionalism that they show on a daily basis for responsibility and perseverance.
