The Head of State signed the Book of Condolence opened in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

President Maia Sandu laid today a bouquet of flowers in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Chisinau. Afterwards, the Head of State signed the Book of Condolences opened in memory of Her Majesty.

"I share the sadness of British citizens - and the world - at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, an example of devotion to duty and commitment to equality, freedom, justice, democracy and inclusion. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family, British citizens and those of the Commonwealth," President Maia Sandu wrote in the Book of Condolence.
