The Head of State had a meeting with his counterpart from Cyprus

President Maia Sandu greeted Nikos Christodoulides, the President of Cyprus, today in Iceland and congratulated him once again on his recent inauguration. "I spoke with President Christodoulides about boosting bilateral dialogue and expressed gratitude for the support provided to the Republic of Moldova on our European path," stated the head of state.

In the discussion with her counterpart, President Maia Sandu emphasized: "We count on the support of Cypriot partners in initiating EU accession negotiations as soon as possible. Likewise, we rely on the support of our efforts to combat corruption and recover assets that rightfully belong to our citizens," concluded the leader from Chișinău in her conversation with President Christodoulides.
