Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
President Nicolae Timofti has awarded the „Order of Honour” to Belgian citizen, neurosurgeon Jacques Brotchi, whose parents were born in Bessarabia.
Under the president’s decree, the distinction was given to Mr. Jacques Brotchi, chair head at the Brussels (Belgium) Free University, honorary president of the Moldovan Neurosurgical Society, former president of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, „as token of high appreciation of the outstanding merits for the development of health protection in Moldova and for significant contribution to the education and vocational training of specialists in the neurosurgery area and to the implementation of scientific achievements into the medical practice in Moldova”.
