Today, at the invitation of the PSRM, the Head of State took part in the Republican Council of the Party of Socialists, during which the results of local elections in the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti, as well as further actions of the PSRM in the context of the upcoming parliamentary elections were considered.
Igor Dodon welcomed the fact that the formation focused on the quality of candidates who would be nominated on behalf of the party in single-mandate constituencies, in connection with which the primaries are held. At the same time, it was noted the need to hold the XVI Extraordinary Congress of the PSRM before the parliamentary elections.
“This year's parliamentary elections will become the most important in the history of our country, as the question of the further existence of the Republic of Moldova as an integral and independent state will be decided. I am confident that the Party of Socialists will make every effort to win," the President said.
