Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
President Nicolae Timofti met the Bucharest-based Danish Ambassador to Moldova Michael Sternberg, as he ended his diplomatic mission to our country, at the state residence today.
Timofti voiced his satisfaction with the present level of the bilateral ties and thanked for the Danish authorities’ support provided for Moldova’s European integration process.
Timofti underlined the importance of implementing the Danish government-funded assistance programmes in the sector of environment protection, observance of human rights and consolidation of democratic institution in Moldova.
Michael Sternberg welcomed the Moldovan authorities’ successes within the Eastern Partnership programme, which facilitated the process of signing the Association Agreement with the European Union on 27 June.
The officials also approached the Moldovan-Danish ties.
