Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
Today, the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a telephone conversation with the President of Lithuania, Mr. Gitanas Nauseda. The dialogue focused on the security situation in the region, but also on Moldova's efforts to manage the crisis caused by it. In this context, the Head of State expressed thanks for the decision of the Lithuanian Government to provide financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova, amounting to 750 thousand euros, for managing the refugee flow in our country.
President Nauseda reiterated the openness of the Lithuanian state to provide all necessary support to the Chisinau authorities, especially in the context of the latest security developments in the region.
