"SIS has duty to annihilate the attempts of internal and external forces involved in separatist activities, contesting Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity", said the president.
The president said the Moldovan authorities wanted to attract Qatari companies’ investments into the national economy.
Timofti voiced hope that, in the next two years, the Swiss and Serbian OSCE Chairmanship would contribute to fostering the Transnistrian conflict settlement process.
The officials discussed aspects on cooperation between Moldova and IMF in terms of signing a new assistance programme.
Bulgarian Ambassador to Moldova Georgi Panayotov welcomed the progress recorded by the Moldovan authorities in promoting the reforms. He assured Timofti of the firm support his country would provide to Moldova in the European integration.
Under the president’s decree, the distinction was given to Mr. Jacques Brotchi „as token of high appreciation of the outstanding merits for the development of health protection in Moldova”.
