Timofti said Moldova would observe the commitments assumed towards the European partners. He noted that, due to the new regional situation, the signing of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU should be speeded up.
Nicolae Timofti had discussions with each magistrate, highlighting the importance of re-establishing the citizens’ trust in the administration of justice.
„Experience you will acquire will be turned to good account in development of Moldova’s Armed Forces and in consolidation of peace between the two banks of the Dniester”.
„Moldova underlines the importance to observe Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and not to allow violation of the international law principles”.
President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree on the Defence Ministry today. The decree, issued according to Art. 98, paragraph (6) of the Moldovan Constitution, provides for the following: „Art.1. Mr. Vitalie Marinuta is dismissed from the post of Defence Minister. Art.2. Mr. Igor Panfile, deputy defence minister, will ensure the exercising of the interim of the position of defence minister till a new minister is designated, according to the legislation in force. Art.3. This decree enters into force on the date of signing.”.
„This decision is a confidence vote from the part of the political groups at the European Parliament for all Moldovan citizens, to encourage Moldova’s European path,” Timofti said.
