President: Moldova should maintain good relations with all its neighbors

Moldovan President Igor Dodon met today with a group of American and European journalists, experts, officials who are in Moldova on a fact-finding visit. The group includes representatives of such editions as The Economist, Deutsche Welle, German Marshall Fund, as well as the European Commission, the Office of the German Chancellery, the German Federal Office for Foreign Affairs, NATO, GLOBSEC, non-governmental organizations headquartered in Brussels and the USA . 

The Head of State welcomed holding of such meetings, during which representatives of other countries could receive information about the social and political situation in our country, as well as the challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova. Participants of the event discussed a number of issues related to the country's domestic and foreign policy, immediate priorities in the work of the presidential apparatus. Particular attention was paid to the socio-political situation in the country, reforms, the neutral status of the country, the Transnistrian conflict. "I stressed that Moldova is a small country that should maintain good relations of cooperation with all its neighbors, both in the West and in the East," the Head of State noted after the conversation.
