President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser.
The sides exchanged opinions on the agenda of the bilateral relations, speaking out for the extension and deepening of cooperation in diverse fields of common interest.
Igor Dodon welcomed the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Moldova and Estonia. He voiced hope that the present potential of bilateral cooperation, especially the commercial and economic one, would be fully turned to account.
At the same time, the head of state stressed that Moldova, just as Estonia, is a small country, and should promote a wise policy. The president said that Moldova needed to preserve the geopolitical balance, neutrality, in order to keep and strengthen its statehood.
