Igor Dodon held a meeting with the deputies of the European Parliament

The Head of State met with the deputies of the European Parliament, who are on a visit to the Republic of Moldova. During the conversation, many important topics related to the country's domestic and foreign policy, as well as to the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, were touched upon.

"The main idea that I expressed is the need to maintain a balance in the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova. We already have disturbing examples, which prove that when we are faced with the choice of "or ... or", there is an imbalance and destabilization in the country," Igor Dodon said.

The Moldovan leader also stressed that the President of the Republic of Moldova is not and cannot be anti-European or pro-European, but only pro-Moldovan, and stable development of the country could be achieved only when we had friendly relations with both the East and the West, for the benefit of citizens of our country.

"In continuation of the dialogue, I answered numerous questions of the European deputies and explained position of the administration of the President of the Republic of Moldova - the only state institution that enjoys the confidence of the people, which is confirmed by public opinion polls," the President said.
