Timofti underlined that the performance of the institutions in the law and national security sector was extremely important for Moldova’s advancing on the European integration path, and urged to meeting the commitments Moldova had taken before the EU.
„I came before you today to once again thank you for the pro-European choice you have made. A choice that must be maintained, for our everybody’s good”.
„Moldova's choice is simple: a successful and democratic Europe, one in which small and big are equal. It is a choice worthy of the 21st century”.
„I was deeply sorrowed to learn about the tragedy which took place at a trade centre in Riga, which resulted in numerous losses of human lives and dozens injured. On behalf of Moldova’s people and on my own behalf, I express you and all the Latvian people our feelings of sympathy and solidarity”.
Victor Tarna is a colonel and has been working in the SPPS since 1996. He is 42 years old, was born in the Orhei town, has higher education, is married and has 2 children.

This project gives us a clear prospect for the development and modernisation of the country. The Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius is a historical opportunity that will determine the future of Moldova. I welcome the maturity of representatives of the political class and civil society who signed this convention and committed to support Moldova’s European transformation reforms", said President Nicolae Timofti.
