The Communist lawmakers said they were willing to back a candidate proposed by the Alliance for European Moldova and assume the role of constructive parliamentary opposition.
Victor Tvircun informed about Moldova taking over of the BSEC chairmanship for the first quarter of 2015, as well as about the carrying out of a session of BSEC Parliamentary Assembly in Chisinau in next June.
President Nicolae Timofti took notice of the today parliament decision, following which the cabinet of ministers proposed by Prime Minister-designate Iurie Leanca failed to get enough votes to be sworn in office. Timofti informs about resuming consultations with the parliamentary factions, in order to nominate a candidate for the prime minister office starting from 13 February. The talks are to be held in a short period, so that a new cabinet be sworn in office within the constitutional terms.
Ingrid Tersman said the Swedish authorities backed Moldova’s European integration efforts. Tersman underlined that the success of the reform programme depended on the political willingness of the new government to implement the provisions of the Association Agreement with the European Union.
Vasile Taban was released from the office of judge of the Soldanesti Court by presidential decree, given that he had committed disciplinary infringements.
„I want to voice confidence that, in the nearest future, the parliament will give a vote of confidence to the new government, that will continue the policies of Moldova's Europeanisation, and this is, according to my strong belief, the only way of the country's flourishing”.
„The common goal to join the European Union will contribute to developing the mutual cooperation on all dimensions and will facilitate the experience exchange as to integration into the European space,” Nicolae Timofti said.
