We, the Heads of State of Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine have gathered in Batumi to strengthen the trilateral cooperation among our countries on European integration and reiterate our pledge to work together for the peaceful, democratic and prosperous European future for Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Thank you for the invitation to address you here today at Palais de l’Europe. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet you in person and I also warmly greet the audience and the Parliamentary Assembly’s delegates who have joined online. I stand here today to acknowledge the role of the Council of Europe in establishing and upholding the values and standards that define European nations today, in promoting democratic consolidation, stability, and providing a place for dialogue on the continent.

I am happy to take part in the official launch of the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2021-2024. This ceremony should have taken place in Chisinau, but the pandemic changed our plans - I am happy to attend it here, in the beautiful Strasbourg.

Decizia de azi a Curții Constituționale este una firească, de constatare a întrunirii circumstanțelor de dizolvare a Parlamentului. Au fost întrunite ambele condiții. Parlamentul nu a votat un guvern timp de 3 luni, iar cele două tentative de învestire a unui guvern au eșuat. Astăzi am făcut un pas important pentru a da moldovenilor ocazia să-și aleagă un Parlament care să-i reprezinte cu adevărat și un Guvern care să lucreze eficient pentru sănătatea și bunăstarea cetățenilor.
