The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met today with U.S. Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Republican Party from Montana state. The officials discussed the security situation in Moldova, the impacts of the war in Ukraine on our country and the bilateral agenda.
President Maia Sandu thanked the U.S. for its longstanding support for strengthening Moldova's democracy and economy and for implementing development projects. Steve Daines praised Moldova's commitment to provide aid to the people fleeing the war in Ukraine. The U.S. official also noted that the U.S. will continue to support our efforts to transform the country.
