President Nicolae Timofti today sent a message of condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the tragic event occurred in the city of Kazan, the presidency's press service has reported.
The message reads:

On behalf of the Moldovan people and on my own, I convey our deep sympathy and solidarity to you and the Russian people, in connection with the plane crash that took place in Kazan on 17 November and resulted in loss of human lives.
In these difficult times, we are by the side of the mourning families, to whom I ask you to convey sincere condolences."
